With Limited visa numbers and now USCIS has improve efficiency they will process more and mroe Eb2 ROW and Eb1 application and less spill over to Eb2 India / China.
May be Eb2 india and China will clear 6 months in a given year.

Hi I am in process of filing 2nd PERM EB2 next month, my attroney says if the new position and job req is different then I should be fine(which is different than my previous Eb3 with 140 approved, Other Contries). But during my research I found some of the people are saying if 2nd PERM is file for Same employee , diff postion with same employer , it will hang at DOL for ever and I also found below posting only on Zhang & Associate:

About the PERM multiple filings, the DOL recently confirmed that if an employer has an APPROVED PERM application and files a second PERM for the same employee and a different occupation, the DOL will issue an audit requesting the return of the first application or an explanation of why there is a second application being filed and the first application can not be returned. The DOL is working on providing an FAQ which outlines acceptable situations where they will approve a subsequent PERM application.
The DOL also stated that if an employer has an APPROVED PERM application and files a second PERM for the same employee and the same occupation that the case will be auto denied. The DOL acknowledged that this poses a problem because there are valid reasons (e.g. change in worksite location) for filing a subsequent case and is working on this situation. Dont feel shy or apprehensive.....just request them to support the bills..and thats it..if they engage in any conversation keep th mood as pleasant as possible...It takes less than 2 mins per call...

Feel Free to suggest your recommendation.
Just a suggestion:
It may be more appealing to tie it with "five years of filing taxes as a "resident alien" including contribution to medicare ans SS taxes".
In other words, any permanent legal resient (GC holder) who has filed taxes as a "resident alien" for five years while working in US and contributed to medicare and SS taxes should be eligible for citizenship filing.
This should be added in addition to the current criteria of "five years of continuous stay after getting GC".
What do you think?

I called all of them this morning, and left messages with HR numbers, my name and contact details. Now they all know IV very well. Most of them conveyed me that they are making a list and will present the list of people who called to the representative.

after opening SR, would there be any updates on LUDs...
...only if approved. Guess, luck matter a lot when ur dates are current...as those guys are picking up cases randomly. Majority of approvals thus far are Feb/Jan 06 , when oct/nov guys are still looking forward..Please, dont get me wrong....Systematic approvals helps everyone...as you know the celebration time has come
SR/infopass is such a routine a thing ...they have standard reply to mail out. It definitely is frustrating to sit on the edge and keep waiting....

Honestly I cannot see much wrong with Congressman Pences point of view.
Unless you are an illegal who is looking for a free ride on the US immigration laws, you have got to consider it fair. Especially if it is combined with some sort of expansion of legal immigration, a fair minded individual cannot really quarrel with it.
Only problem is that it will cause those coming after a few years legally to get caught up in a Tsunami of applications and probably will be unfair to them, but ATLEAST they would be aware of what they are up against and will choose to come KNOWING that.
Immigration to the US is not a right and many of us are suffering a lot to play by the rules so our children have a bright future. Our talents are being utilised at less than their full capacity to serve a bigger purpose in this land. We are waiting patiently. Someone who cut in line should not be given rights and priviledges that we have suffered so much to get by doing the right and honorable thing.
According to this new plan the illegals will learn to know that a green card is a LONG PAINSTAKINGLY FRUSTRATING process just like all of us have learnt.

I raised a SR yesterday and here is the email i go today
"The status of this service request is:
Based on your request we researched the status of this case. We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months of this letter, please contact customer service at the number provided "
Has anybody received something similar? Seems canned and asking to wait for another 6 months holy cow?What is the next step Info Pass?

What do you guys suggest , should I opt for instore pick up ;) ?
(as far as they do not hand me a rain check when I reach there...)
last time they asked me this (as mentioned last year on this forum) I said whatever you please and they decided not to complete my order....:mad:

On June 19th I got this from CRIS
Receipt Number: XXX
Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION
Current Status: Card production ordered.
On June 18, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you.
Then I got this one today.
